Citizens‘ Service Center („Bürgerservice Center”)
The first and most important place to turn to for all kinds of matters is the Citizens’ Service Center in the New City Hall. Here you can take care of various official procedures in one single office as you registration of place or your active pass, which allows you to take advantage of cheaper public transport fares and other benefits.

At the beginning of the semester, there will also the possibility to registrate your place of residence on campus at the “ÖH-Sozialreferat”.

Pharmacies in Linz
This sign indicates the presence of a pharmacy.
The pharmacy closest to the campus is located in “Auhof Center” next to the tram station “Auhof - Universität”.
It’s opening hours are: Mo.-Fr. 8-12 am and 2-6 pm on Saturdays it is open from 8 to 12 am.
You can find the addresses of the pharmacies that are open at night, on weekends or on holidays in a current edition of a local daily newspaper. They are also posted on signs on the pharmacies in the area where you live. They are also listed in the internet under www.apotheker.or.at as well as in the ORF-Teletext on page 649.

Ask at your pharmacy for a plan of the pharmacy service (a list showing which pharmacies have night, weekend or emergency service). If you go to a pharmacy at night, on the weekend or on a holiday, you must pay an additional fee of 1.30 euros (during the daytime) or 3.80 euros (at night from 8 pm to 8 am) (*Status 2013)
